Natalie and Leslie - Rehearsal Dinner |
The Event
|
Penguin and Unicorn Onesies |
Leslie Smith and Natalie Griffiths were married on October
11, 2014 at an outdoors ceremony in the woods at the Kortright Conservation
Centre outside of Toronto. The tree leaves
were turning beautiful fall colors; the setting could not have been more gorgeous. The reception was held inside in a lovely wooden building with huge windows looking out
on the forest. It was a high energy
party full of joy and love. The brides
wrote a meaningful and gently funny ceremony that reflected their different
personalities. They did a great job
meticulously planning the reception. The
food was delicious, we danced for hours, there were s’mores over a fire and a
poutine (Canadian snack food – look it up if you don’t know it) bar.
The Adventure
We arrived in the Toronto area on Tuesday, October 7 and
camped for several days at a campground mid-way between Natalie’s family home
and the wedding venue. We did projects
for the brides preparing decorations and other items. On Thursday we moved into the wedding hotel,
staying there until Monday morning.

Here are photos from the weekend. The photos of the wedding and reception were taken by our
friends Robin Mathews, Konrad Kulacki, and Laura Johnson (all stolen off of
Facebook). Thanks, we were too busy
being Parents-of-the Bride to take pictures ourselves, and really appreciate having these to share as part of this blog.
It was a wonderful weekend full of wonderful memories shared
with our fabulous nuclear and extended families and friends.
